2015 Game Scripts

This page contains the Game Scripts for every team in every game this season. There are 3600 seconds in every game (before overtime); the Game Script is the result when you sum the score margin during each of those seconds and divide by 3600; in other words, the Game Script reveals what the average margin was throughout each second of the game.

The table is fully sortable, but I’ve limited the search function to only the team column. You can type in your favorite team’s three letter code and see their results (and only their results) in each game this season (you can also type in their PFR code, if you know it. For Baltimore, type in “RAV” instead of “BAL”, as the latter will include every team (since it links to a page at PFR). The team, opponent, and boxscore columns all contain links to the appropriate pages at Pro-Football-Reference.com.

Take a look at the Dolphins/Texans, which produced the highest Game Script of the season so far. Miami won at home against Houston, 44-26, an 18-point margin of victory. The average lead for the Dolphins during every second of every game — the Game Script — was 25.9 points. Miami had 24 pass attempts against 35 runs, a 40.7% pass/run ratio. Meanwhile, the Texans had 53 passes and 25 runs, a 67.9% ratio. Please note that in some cases, the pass/run splits may be slightly off from the official results.

This site will be constantly updating during the regular season, so please feel free to bookmark and check back regularly!
