2017 Fantasy Rankings: Team Defense

This week at Football Perspective: an analysis of the 2017 fantasy results. For team defenses, I used the following formula:

Fumble recoveries and interceptions are each worth +3.

Sacks are worth +1.

Safeties are worth +5.

Defensive/Special Teams TDs are worth +6.

For points allowed and yards allowed, I used the following:

Points Allowed 0-0 15
Points Allowed 1-7 10
Points Allowed 8-14 5
Points Allowed 15-21 1
Points Allowed 31-99 -5

Yards Allowed 0-199 15
Yards Allowed 200-299 7
Yards Allowed 300-499 0
Yards Allowed 500-999 -5

Below are the fantasy rankings for team defenses in 2017. Note that these results exclude week 17, so the per-game numbers are over 15 games.
