The Chicago Bears, in 1975, had 59.7 points of expected marginal AV. Expected Marginal AV is based solely on the draft picks they were allotted. They produced 226 points of actual marginal AV, so they are credited with 166.3 points of value — i.e., they exceeded expectations by 166.3 points.

In Year N+1 (1976), the Bears had 43.3 points of expected marginal AV, and 45 points of actual marginal AV, so they exceeded value by 1.7 points. In Year N-1 (1975), the Bears had 73.3 points of expected marginal AV (thanks to two top-20 picks) but produced just 38 points of actual AV, so they undershot expectations by 35.3 points.
