The Texans were the only team that came across as particularly run-heavy. Houston actually finished with more rushing yards than passing yards, which is pretty unusual for a team that’s losing (but not in total blowout fashion) most of the game. It will be interesting to see if the Texans wind up looking like a run-heavy team this year because the Texans have one of the most run-heavy quarterbacks in the league, or if week 1 was an anomaly.
As for pass-happy teams, Indianapolis and Atlanta stole the show. Atlanta had a neutral Game Script of +0.5, but threw the ball on 72.3% of passes; that’s very pass-happy. Indianapolis had a Game Script of +3.1 and threw on 71% of passes. The Colts were verywinning at halftime and after three quarters pass-happy for a team that was .
